The term Real Driving Emissions (RDE) describes the true-life emissions output from cars, lorries and buses in everyday usage. Exhaust gas measurement for the purposes of model series authorisations used only to be carried out at test stations. Since the legal requirement RDE (EU) 427/2016 came into effect in March 2016, emissions must now, within a defined framework, also be measured in true-life driving conditions. Together with the RDE limits for true-life driving conditions which must be adhered to from September 2017*, this is a significant step towards a cleaner and lower-emission automotive future.
You can request the RDE results for our Mercedes-Benz vehicles from tests conducted both by us, the manufacturer, as well as by independent, state-certified technical services facilities, by submitting the following form, stating the PEMS test family for your Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
The PEMS test family number for your vehicle can be found on the website for the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association [ACEA].
